Can I use my CARS rally license?

NRS supports cross-border license reciprocity, so Canadian residents can race with NRS using their CARS rally license for events in the United States. Both the CARS Regional rally license and CARS National rally license are acceptable.

When competing with this license, the racer must still have a current valid NASA membership, and have a current medical form on file with NASA Rally Sport.

Drivers or navigators who live in America, but who also have a CARS rally license, cannot race with NASA Rally Sport using their CARS license.

In the same way that residents of the US must have a rally license from NRS for competing at events in the US, Canadian residents must have a rally license from NRS for competing at one of our events in Canada.

In other words, license reciprocity has always been about encouraging people to cross borders, but within the same country, one has always had always had to purchase the license of the body sanctioning the event.
