30 Years of Grit: Day One of the 2026 Sandblast Rally!

Sandblast logo

The sand is damp, the engines are warm, and the wait is finally over. Today marks the historic 30th running of the Sandblast Rally! For three decades, Cheraw has been the heart of one of the most unique challenges on the NASA Rally Sport calendar. Whether you're here for the bikes or the cars, this milestone year is set to be legendary.

Opening Night: Parc Exposé

Start the celebration tonight at Oslo’s Spirits and Grill (302 Chesterfield Hwy) for Parc Exposé from 6:00 PM – 7:30 PM. This is your chance to meet the teams and see the machines before they head into the forest. The first competitor drops the hammer at 6:31 PM to tackle the "Sandblast After Dark" stages!

Weather Report: Cheraw

It’s a true "rally weather" day in Cheraw. Cloudy skies with a high of 57°F and rain for most of the morning has left the stages rather wet for tonight.  The rain has tapered off and the sand drains well, leaving a mix of grippy sand and slick clay for competitors to contend with.
