Pacific Rally Cup Points to still be awarded for Olympus

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Long Beach, CA (May, 11th, 2014)

NASA Rally Sport Competition License holders, despite the sanctioning change, will be awarded Pacific Rally Cup points for the Olympus Rally. NRS West Director Kristopher Marciniak feels that competitors deserve this opportunity to earn points for the PRC and ultimately the NASA National Rally Championship. We want to recognize those competitors who signed up for this event expecting championship points. "Honoring our obligation to the PRC despite this change is in the best interest our of competitors," stated Christine Marciniak, Licensing Director for NRS West.

Any NASA Rally Sport Competition License holder at Olympus will be given Pacific Rally Cup points to qualify under Method One (Series Leader) for the NASA National Championship, although podium and power stage winners will not automatically qualify. For 2014, the National Championship Round is Black River Stages in Harrisville, NY. The Pacific Rally Cup started with the first round of competition at the High Desert Trails Performance Rally on May 3rd, and continues with Rally Idaho, based in Boise and to be held on June 21-22, 2014.
